  Really saddened to a write a negative review rather than a positive one on a cake made by Zoë. After going into a café where she supplies cakes and my husband having the BEST lemon drizzle he has ever had (he actually purchased 3 slices) I decided to get into contact with Zoë to order a whole one for him. Zoë was very professional throughout the process and even messaged me when the cake was ready for collection. Upon collecting, the cake was beautifully presented on a cake board and cellophane covering so I was excited for my husband to dig in once he got home from work. Upon cutting into the cake, it noticeably didn't have the same texture as the cake in the café but not to be swayed, my husband cut a slice and started to eat it. I could immediately see the disappointment on his face as he asked for a drink. He advised me that it was dry and not as lemony as the one he tried in the café shop. Upon contacting Zoë, she advised that she had never had a complaint in 13 years and that her family didn't complain about the cake (which she made at the same time). This was a very unprofessional answer to a message from my husband where he was simply giving feedback on the cake. She then went on when he questioned her defensive response to advise him that 'your the only one that's made the feedback so it's not a problem'. This is completely unacceptable especially since my husband has said he will bring the rest of the cake to her to show her the problem. I am really disheartened at how what started as a very positive and professional experience had turned into such a negative situation from someone that would have been a regular customer. She blocked myself on her Facebook page before I could post a review so only hope this helps people when making their decision whether to hire Zoë as their cake maker.
